News Flash: We’re moving!

After 30 great years at the Max Bell Centre, the three charitable clubs that cooperatively
organize and execute the fundraising sale have chosen to relocate to improve the
experience for attendees, volunteers, vendors, and to permit further growth. The sale
is the largest in Canada, with an inventory of 20,000 winter gear items and 10,000-plus visitors. More than 500 volunteers plan and execute the sale, first held in 1963.

We are very pleased to announce that the 2026 Calgary New & Used Ski Sale will be held at the Chief Jim Starlight Centre, part of the 7 Chiefs Sportplex.  The Sportsplex is located at TAZA, 19 Bullhead Road, on the Tsuut’ina Nation, near Anderson Road S.W. and Stoney Trail.

Why are we moving?
 After growing almost 3-fold over the past 15 years, we needed additional parking capacity, more space for merchandise, and more room for you to browse and view our great selection. The new facility is larger, more modern, and offers excellent amenities.

Our new location offers:
With over 50,000 square feet, there is ample room for merchandise all on one floor. There are also large common areas available for eager bargain hunters to wait in before the sale opens.
More space to display skis, snowboards, boots and other equipment means we can bring you even more fantastic deals and unparalleled selection. And with 1,000 parking spots, you won’t have any trouble finding parking.

The Calgary New & Used Ski Sale has moved a number of times to accommodate growth
and improve the event. It was first held in a Calgary Ski Club member’s basement in 1963. Since then it has been located at the Calgary Tennis Club (1964), the Calgary Stampede Agricultural Building (1965), the Roundup Centre (1984) and Max Bell (1996).

The sale is grateful to the City of Calgary and the amazing staff of the Max Bell Centre.

Sale Fri., Oct 23, Sat. Oct 24, Sun. Oct 25, 2026.

Consignment will be Wed., Oct 21 and Thu., Oct 22, 2026

Most of our items will be brand new. Our inventory surpasses 20,000 items: downhill skis, ski boots, bindings, snowboards, snowboard boots, Nordic gear (skis and boots), select AT gear (skis and boots), winter clothing, accessories, gloves, hats, goggles, poles, packs – you name it, we’ll have it!

This is where winter begins!

The Calgary New & Used Ski Sale welcomes consignment of new and gently used equipment and clothing from shops and the public.

We are grateful to you for helping to make our 2025 sale one of our biggest and best. THANK YOU to the thousands of skiers from Calgary and southern Alberta who made the sale so successful by accessing sweet deals on ski and snowboard gear. We hope to see you again this year.

Since 1963, the Calgary New & Used Ski Sale has been organized and held as a key fundraiser by three Calgary non-profit charitable clubs: the Calgary Ski Club, the Canadian Ski Patrol – Calgary Zone, and the Lake Louise Athletic Development Association. In recent years, attendance has topped 10,000 outdoor enthusiasts and bargain hunters across the three days of the sale. Don’t miss it!
